2021 Participate 9/25- 9/26

I have been asked more than a few times about what’s happening with this years 2021 24 Hours of Music Jamboree. Well it will be the 5th Annual 24 Hours of Music Jamboree Weekend in 2021 that’s being adapted for our crazy, unknown, what’s gonna happen next, pandemic times)

The 5th Annual 24 Hours of Music Jamboree is being adapted for our pandemic times.

First a Little History

The years 2017, 2018 and 2019 were 24 Hour Nonstop Live Music Performances from Noon Sat to 12 Noon Sunday held live in and Around South Orange NJ. First year of this purely voluntary event we ran a single stream of live music for 24 hours. In following yeas we ran concurrent performances for 12 hours at the South Orange Gazebo and at Spiotta Park along with various other locations around Around South Orange. We ended up with 30 plus hours of live music within 24 hours across multiple South Orange venues.

In 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic we quickly pivoted and for the first time on May 30-31st we live streamed the 24 Hours of Music Jamboree over Facebook, YouTube, Twitched, Instagram and Twitter via Periscope. The livestream content consisted of a number of Broadcasted Live Performances, Pre Recorded Live Performances that were recorded just for this event and a selected number of high end Past Live Performances.

Also note that in Pre Pandemic years, we had local musicians participate from local towns and the Greater New York and New Jersey area. We also ran a number of live music jams where anyone that was not with a band, could come sit in and participate. Some musicians who used to perform live here in South Orange were from other towns, States and countries like Korea, Japan, etc. The pandemic drove a number of folks back home and now with pandemic restrictions they can’t travel however they still wanted to participate and so we can adapt again.

The other item of note was the tribute to our fallen musician bass player Darryl Clark was canceled in July due to weather. So we have rescheduled the event and are making this event a tribute to Darryl Clark who performed in this event.

Now in 2021 5th Annual 24 Hours of Music Jamboree Weekend (Adapted for our Pandemic Times)

For 2021 folks can participate in person or online. Musicians can be broadcasted live and or they can submit their live recordings and we will livestream their performances online.

  • It will be conducted over 2 days 9/25 and 9/26.
  • It will be two 10-12 hour days of live music from 12 Noon to 10PM (or midnight)
  • Locations will be around South Orange NJ – primary being Gazebo and the Park.
  • Folks can submit live recordings that we stream live during overnight hours.
  • Also some folks signed up already you will be contacted as a reminder
