With constraints on our movements and general way of life becoming more and more restricted, we are feeling a loss of control, in being confined to our homes, we are missing our normal social support from friends and family, and our freedom to control our day-to-day lives.
- Communities around the world have turned to music during the coronavirus crisis.
- From YouTube parodies, Virtual collaborations, front yard performance, to apartment block sing-a-longs, it can help maintain a sense of community. Making music provides a means to regain control.
As The Jazz Exchange continues to build communities through music, we are asking you the viewers to donate to The Jazz Exchange Relief Fund, that supports local jazz artists that are in need of assistance during these uncertain times. Your contribution towards our Relief Fund will go straight into the hands of jazz artists that have not yet received unemployment and are in need of the day-to-day essentials.
We feel music is an “essential ” need for all of us during these challenging times. Help us uplift our jazz artists to continue to find ways to be creative and still feel supported. As we tread to continue helping jazz artist in need we are asking our resilient community to stand with us and donate for a cause. We know there are many organizations that you can choose from and support and we appreciate all the donors and contributors who choose to empower us to help us build communities through music!
